General Summary: Qualcomms Graphics PSE team is a part of the Graphics System team and is responsible for the overall quality of the Graphics IP in silicon. As a member of our Graphics PSE team, you will be working closely with architects, designers, verification, and software engineers to take the GPU from pre-Si stage to tape out to silicon bring-up and to CS (Customer Samples). Job Functions/General Responsibilities: Develop graphics applications using graphics APIs such as DirectX, OpenGL ES, Vulkan, and improve coverage, and create GPU bring-up test-plans and test methodologies. Analyze and enable new games and benchmarks in the pre-Si environment. Provide debug support in the pre-Silicon environment (functional model) and drive end-to-end solutions for silicon bring-up issues including failure debug. Work in a fast-paced environment with minimal guidance. Demonstrate strong programming, communication, and teamwork skills and approach difficult challenges as learning opportunities.
Must Have Skills/Experience:
Strong programming in C/C++. GPU APIs knowledge (Vulkan, Direct3D, OpenGL, DirectX/OpenGL, OpenCL, etc.). GPU architecture knowledge. Strong analytical skills. 4+ years of relevant experience.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 10+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience, or Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 8+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience, or PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 5+ years of Systems Engineering or related work experience.
Preferred skills/experience for role:
Experience with at least one of: Perl, Python, TCL Games/graphics application development OpenCL/CUDA knowledge Graphics driver development or modelling experience Post-silicon enablement and bring-up Experience in emulation environments for development and debug Debug tools including JTAG and kernel debuggers
