Travel Shift Notes 9 hr shifts (M-F with a variable day off each week) • Primarily evening shifts (ending at 2030, 2130 or 2230)
Job Summary Post Operative Care Unit at Boise Hospital, 31-bed PACU covering both adult and pediatric patients. Shift Notes 9 hr shifts (M-F with a variable day off each week) • Primarily evening shifts (ending at 2030, 2130 or 2230)
with blue scrubs provided and 3 days of orientation.
Responsibilities
Care for post-operative patients in Phase I and Phase II recovery (both completed in one area).
Float across adult inpatient, adult outpatient, and pediatric recovery as needed.
Provide recovery care for surgical specialties including orthopedics (total joints), neuro, cardiac, plastics, cath lab, IR, endoscopy, and pediatrics (ENT, tonsillectomies, ear tubes, spine surgeries).
Recover ICU patients unless intubated (then managed with RT support).
Monitor and read cardiac strips electronically.
Collaborate with RT for vent, CPAP, BiPAP, and airway management support.
Work with CNAs for patient transport, mobility, IV removal, bladder trials, EKGs, phlebotomy, room turnover, and stretcher cleaning.
Requirements Experience: Minimum 2 years of PACU experience in a large hospital setting, with ability to care for both adults and pediatric patients. Previous travel nursing experience required. Licenses & Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS. EMR: EPIC experience required. About Talent4Health
