Overview
Mid-Career - Environmental Remediation Engineer. Geosyntec Consultants seeks a Mid-Career Environmental Remediation Engineer to join the Environmental Practice in Seattle, Bellingham, Wenatchee, Yakima, or Bainbridge Island, WA offices. Our Environmental Practice tackles challenges on a variety of complex environmental projects in the Pacific Northwest, including environmental site assessments, remedial investigations/feasibility studies, property cleanup and urban redevelopments, remedial design engineering, cost recovery/allocation/mediation support, and landfill system monitoring and optimization. This role offers variety, mentorship, and opportunities for expanded responsibility and career growth. As a Mid-Career Environmental Remediation Engineer, your work will focus on technical project delivery and environmental project management of investigation and remediation projects. You will lead the design and implementation of environmental due diligence, remedial investigations, and cleanup actions on known or suspected contaminated sites. You will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team of geologists, environmental engineers, and scientists to apply consulting strategies and solutions for clients including attorneys, landowners, public agencies, engineers, and contractors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Work collaboratively with colleagues, clients, and partners to plan and execute work on environmental investigation and remediation projects Perform task, project, and client management under the guidance of senior technical experts Manage project teams including junior field staff, writing/editing staff, subject matter experts, and subcontractors to meet project needs Conduct project scoping and budgeting and manage project budget and schedule Apply technical expertise to solve environmental project problems to meet client needs and project objectives Complete technical data evaluation and write reports Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or project sites and other business locations as needed
Education and Licensure
Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related engineering discipline (required) Master's degree in environmental engineering or related engineering discipline (preferred) Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification (required) or Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) (preferred)
Skills, Experience and Qualifications
At least 5 years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience (required) Relevant coursework or experience in contaminant fate and transport Knowledge of state and federal cleanup laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance for cleanup of contaminated sites Strong quantitative and analytical skills Clear and professional writing and verbal communication skills Excellent client management skills Ability to work on teams and interface with clients, attorneys, and regulators to execute projects Valid U.S. driver's license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required)

Minimum/Maximum salary ranges by location: Wenatchee/Yakima: $85,340$110,940; Bellingham: $89,605$116,485; Bainbridge Island/Seattle: $93,875$122,040.
