Sulphur Springs Valley Electric Cooperative (SSVEC) is seeking a knowledgeable and driven Purchasing Manager to lead our procurement operations and play a key role in supporting our mission to deliver safe, reliable, and affordable energy to our members. This is an excellent opportunity for a procurement professional who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven environment and is committed to operational excellence. The successful candidate will lead the Cooperative's purchasing function, overseeing the procurement of materials and services critical to daily operations, ensuring regulatory and policy compliance, and collaborating across departments to align purchasing strategies with
organizational goals.

Lead and manage the Purchasing Department, including hiring, training, and performance management.
Develop and implement procurement strategies and policies aligned with Cooperative goals.
Ensure quality control, cost‐efficiency, and compliance with internal controls and regulations.
Collaborates with internal departments and vendors to support high‐quality service delivery across the Cooperative.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or related field required
Minimum five (5) years of progressive experience in purchasing, procurement, or contracts
Experience in the utility sector and with NISC software preferred
FAR/DFAR experience is a plus
Strong leadership, communication, and vendor negotiation skills
Arizona Class D driver's license required
