Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Staff Accountant
to support the organizations accounting operations. Reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor, this role is instrumental in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance, and supporting the overall integrity of the companys financial systems.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare accurate financial statements, perform variance analyses, and provide data-driven insights to support business decisions.
Account Management:
Oversee fixed assets, monitor cash flow, and maintain customer account records.
Payroll & Credit Administration: Prepare payroll and administer credit policies in alignment with company standards.
General Ledger Oversight:
Record journal entries, reconcile general ledger and subsidiary accounts, and support month-end close activities.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensure adherence to internal accounting controls, company policies, and applicable federal regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with internal departments to compare actual results to forecasts and budgets, providing meaningful analysis and recommendations.
Special Projects:
Contribute to ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Accounting required.
Minimum of two years of experience in public accounting.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP/accounting software.
Demonstrated attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels of management.
Compensation:
Compensation plan is heavily bonus oriented.
Bonuses are paid monthly, quarterly and annually.
Base salary range is $55,000 - $60,000 and OTE
including above bonuses
is $90,000 - $95,000.
