In this role, you will help U.S. Department of Defense organizations implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems using the latest cloud technologies. You will help groups understand application architectures and integration approaches, and you will have the consultative skills to launch projects on a trajectory to success. Join our team as a Solutions Architect to accelerate our U.S. Defense Department business within the World Wide Public Sector practice. This is an opportunity to work with Amazons innovative technical teams while developing your career at one of the most progressive technology companies. In this role, you will help shape and deliver a strategy to build broad use of Amazon Web Services (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, Amazon CloudFront) directly with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and successful delivery of implementation projects; defining implementation architectures; providing inputs to RFI/RFP responses; developing deep expertise in AWS technologies and how applications and services are built on the AWS platform; and being a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services. You will provide thoughtful technical design with sensitivity to customer needs in the Defense markets, working with a sales and business development team. You will help capture and share best-practice knowledge within the AWS solution architect community and collaborate with industry-leading engineers and architects.
