Publix Technology - Hybrid role requiring 8 days per month on-site in Lakeland, FL. Overview
Join Publix Technology as a Senior Software Engineer where you will be part of an agile team developing modern applications using various methods, tools, and technologies. You will interact with enterprise teams and product management, write user stories, groom product backlog items, and lead the delivery of lasting contributions to Publix corporate associates. Responsibilities Designing, coding, testing, and deploying advanced technical solutions under limited guidance Providing hands-on technical support for complex systems (applications, cloud platforms, security tools, hardware, middleware, and networking) Performs on-call duties as required by the team to ensure 3rd tier support coverage for technologies within assigned discipline Serves as a point of contact for highly complex technical system issues Leading implementation and coordination of integrated technology solutions Ensuring adherence to security standards and best practices Conducting proactive maintenance of large-scale systems and infrastructure Planning and estimating technical tasks for self and team members
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related analytical field or equivalent experience 5+ years of software engineering experience 5+ years working with Microsoft SQL Server 5+ years of coding experience leveraging .NET Framework 4.7.2+ / .NET Core 6+ with C#, ASP.NET MVC, JS/jQuery, and object-oriented design 5+ years of experience analyzing complex business problems and translating requirements into technology solutions with attention to performance, usability, quality, interdependencies, scalability, and TCO Leadership experience in driving the work of a team in an agile scrum environment as a SME, product owner, or similar Experience planning and managing activities delivering solutions in a large-scale distributed environment Experience working closely with IT management on project and resource planning, including effort estimation Strong knowledge of architecture and design of solutions in an Azure environment 7+ years of software engineering experience 7+ years in an agile scrum environment, leading developers and working with business partners 7+ years of experience implementing enterprise applications using Azure services (App Service, SQL, Service Bus, Databricks, IoT Hub, microservices, Cosmos DB, Redis Cache, OpenAPI, etc.) Azure Solutions Architect Expert Certification (AZ-303/AZ-304) or equivalent experience Extensive experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or similar) Data store technologies including SQL Server 2019/2022, Azure SQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Redis Cache Experience with Telerik UI for ASP.NET MVC / Telerik Reporting Experience with Power BI Experience with Windows Server 2019 Experience with Active Directory permissions and Group Policy Experience with event-based messaging platforms (Kafka, Azure Event Hubs, Azure Stream Analytics, MQTT) Experience working in an EFT environment Employee stock ownership plan and stock purchase opportunities, 401(k) plan, comprehensive health benefits
