UBS Business Solutions US LLC is seeking a Director, Tech Data Engineer in Weehawken, NJ. Are you an innovative thinker? Are you focused on the details, even when under pressure? Do you enjoy delivering enhanced change capabilities across a range of business functions? Were looking for a Director, Tech Data Engineer to: Build UBS next generation of AI/ML platforms. Write the code that will underpin the UBS Data Mesh; ensure the quality, security, reliability and compliance of our solutions by applying digital principles. Learn new technologies and practices and make decisions with long-term sustainability in mind; work in an agile way as part of multi-disciplinary teams. Share knowledge and expertise with colleagues, assist in hiring talented data engineers and contribute regularly to our engineering culture and internal communities. Build and work within the Group Chief Technology Organization, focusing on development of the Artificial Intelligence, Data & Analytics platform (ADA), closely interacting with business professionals and data scientist teams across the bank; help to scale, build and leverage data and AI in the business. Partner with different divisions and functions across the Bank to develop innovative digital solutions and expand technical expertise into new areas; can work hybrid (In-Office/Remote). Salary: $225,000 to $230,000 per year, 40 hrs/wk. The expected salary range as of the posting date is based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, qualifications, education, location and skill level. This position requires a Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field and ten years of experience in the job offered or as a Lead Data Engineer, VP Technology, Architect-Technology, Technical Project Manager, Software Engineer, Senior Software Engineer, or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Masters degree or foreign equivalent in the same fields and eight years of relevant experience in lieu of a Bachelors degree plus eight years of experience. Position requires experience with: Java; Python; Public cloud services; Messaging and streaming technologies including Kafka; Big data technologies including Spark and cloud storage; Kubernetes; Docker; Data mesh principles and technologies; Linux/Ubuntu.
