Overview
Washington, District of Columbia, United States ENSCO, Inc. is seeking an Information Technology Specialist (Level 2) to provide direct support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Cybersecurity Group within the NAS Security and Enterprise Operations (NASEO) Directorate. This position will contribute to the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and operation of enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions and tools that protect the National Airspace System (NAS). The selected candidate will work closely with FAA engineering and architecture teams to develop and maintain cybersecurity standards, assess planned system changes for potential security impacts, and support the transition of solutions into operational environments. The role also involves preparing technical documentation, risk assessments, and executive-level briefings, as well as providing timely support for cybersecurity incident response and program reporting. The role supports the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and operation of enterprise cybersecurity solutions and tools; collaborates with FAA teams to develop standards; assesses security implications of planned changes; supports transition of solutions to operations; prepares technical documentation, risk assessments, and executive briefings; and provides cybersecurity incident response support and program reporting. Qualifications Bachelors degree in a related information technology field (may be substituted for 5 years of relevant experience) 1520 years of experience (Master's Degree may substitute for 3 years; PhD may substitute for 7 years) Working knowledge of NIST SP 800-series (especially 800-53), and FIPS requirements Understanding of secure configuration management and access control best practices Hands-on experience with asset management systems, enterprise cybersecurity toolsets, and/or threat modeling software Ability to design, develop, implement, maintain, and optimize enterprise IT and cybersecurity tools in compliance with FAA and federal security requirements Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required)
