Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Director – Finance – Earned Value Management and Cost Reporting to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business. The CMS business is an industry leader in the design, development, manufacturing, and life cycle support for amphibious and ground vehicles and weapon systems. The Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) and Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) Leader will promote EVMS Excellence across the CMS business and drive standardization and improvement of CSDR processes and supporting tools.
As a key member of the CMS Finance Leadership Team, the Director will serve as a trusted business partner throughout the program life cycle. The Director will collaborate with Program Excellence and Finance Leaders to develop and implement EVMS strategies aligned with company goals and objectives, support strategic program management direction, and ensure accountability. The Leader will play a critical role in realigning the EVMS organization to meet the evolving strategy and culture of earned value application and discipline.
Responsibilities: Key Leadership Responsibilities
Serve as a trusted advisor and key member of the CMS Finance Leadership Team Meet regularly with Finance and Program Excellence Leadership to collaborate on priorities and provide advice/recommendations on solutions to improve standardization and efficiency Ensure effective employee development, growth, and recognition Customer and Stakeholder Management
Represent Combat Mission Systems at formal and informal DCMA meetings and events Build trusted relationships with key customer/government officials as required Communicate and present overall EVMS maturity and effectiveness on a regular basis EVMS and CSDR Leadership
Take full ownership of EVMS/CSDR processes and supporting tools, including System description, documentation, and training Maintain close coordination with program directors and managers, serving as a liaison to ensure timely and accurate EV reporting and effective collaboration with Control Account Managers (CAMs) within program teams Provide guidance and recommendations related to future EVMS compliance requirements, including process shifts, guidelines, and underlying DCMA EVMS Compliance Metrics (DECMs) Drive change management and sponsorship for EVMS related changes and improvements Operational Management
Develop, implement, and maintain strong controls through internal and external surveillance requirements Manage and work in partnership with advisory consultants as required Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree with 12 years of relevant work experience or equivalent experience Experience in Finance or Accounting Management Experience in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Experience in Cost and Software Data Reporting (CSDR) or similar Cost reporting structures and requirements Comprehensive understanding of current and future EVMS requirements, including guidelines and underlying DCMA EVMS Compliance Metrics (DECMs) Experience in Defense with the ability to maintain rigorous adherence to industry requirements and regulations Experience in People Management, including mentorship/coaching, training, and development Demonstrated progressive leadership growth and experience in a highly matrixed environment Proven history of leading and driving organizations or large teams Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and develop relationships across functional lines Proven change management experience, including large process and/or system implementations, culture shifts, and/or organizational transformations Ability to develop and drive strategic plans and objectives Ability to drive compliance and audit readiness, while maintaining effective relationships with DCMA Ability to drive continuous improvement and efficiency across the EVMS community Ability to foster and maintain trusted business relationships and partnerships Demonstrated ability to effectively manage high conflict situations Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to communicate EVMS/CSDR information clearly and concisely across a broad audience Demonstrated ability in promoting adherence to the Company’s internal and external legal, ethical, and company requirements Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Expertise in Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) Expertise in Change Management Experience with Deltek PPM Suite (Open Plan, Cobra, PM Compass, Acumen Fuse) Experience with Oracle EBS Experience applying EVMS in a manufacturing, integration, and/or assembly business environment Experience in championing and training on EVMS Ownership experience for a significant Business System
Pay Information Full-Time Salary Range: $135556 - $230444
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
