live-in nanny
to care for their 2 young children. This role is ideal for a highly experienced, organized nanny who thrives in a semi-formal household and enjoys working in partnership with the parents. The family hopes to find someone warm, professional, and engaging — able to balance nurturing play with structure, developmental guidance, and calm authority.

Schedule
Monday–Thursday: Daytime care, with overnights needed if parents are out of the home
Travel: Domestic travel ~4 weeks spread over winter months, plus 4 weeks in the Hamptons
Responsibilities
Provide attentive, loving care for toddler and infant
Manage daily routines: feedings, naps, bath time, and bedtime
Plan and facilitate age-appropriate developmental play and enrichment
Organize outings, playdates, and structured activities for toddler
Maintain tidy and organized children’s spaces (rooms, closets, playroom)
Complete child-related tasks: laundry, toy rotation, stroller cleaning, preparing diaper and school bags
Grocery shopping for the household and tracking pantry/child supplies
Prepare simple, healthy meals and snacks for the children (no cooking for parents)
Provide overnight monitoring as needed when parents are away
Collaborate closely with mother on routines, parenting style, and daily plans
Qualifications
8+ years of full-time nanny experience with infants and toddlers
CPR & First Aid certified
Valid driver’s license with clean record; confident driving in the tri-state area (nanny car provided)
Strong swimmer; able to supervise and join children in pool
Comfortable working in a staffed household with a stay-at-home parent present
Pet friendly
Local to the NYC/tri-state area

Knowledgeable in child development; incorporates age-appropriate learning into play
Mature and authoritative — able to set boundaries with calm authority, balancing structure with warmth
Highly organized and self-reliant — takes initiative with tasks such as packing bags, organizing closets, and cleaning children’s equipment
Comfortable managing logistics, scheduling, and transportation
Capable of preparing and serving simple, healthy meals for the children
