Travel **Job Description: Pediatric Respiratory Therapist – NICU Focus** We are seeking a skilled Pediatric Respiratory Therapist with a NICU focus to join our dynamic team. This position is ideal for both experienced therapists and first-time travelers who exhibit a strong skill set. As part of our healthcare team, you will play a key role in managing respiratory care for neonates, pediatrics, and critical care patients. **Shift Information:** - Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) - 36 or 48 hours per week - Every other weekend and holiday - On-call is not required **Responsibilities:** - Provide respiratory therapy to neonatal and pediatric patients in critical care settings. - Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Perform assessments, conduct tests, and implement treatment plans for patients with respiratory issues. - Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. - Support high-risk deliveries and assist with neonatal transports. - Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards. **Qualifications:** - Required: 2 years of experience in Pediatric Respiratory Therapy, including NICU. - Certifications: RRT, PALS, NRP, ACLS, and BLS (AHA only). - Preferred Experience: Charting in Epic, trauma level I & II. - Strong skills in ABG interpretation, mechanical ventilation, and pediatric critical care. **Unit Details:** - Patient Age Groups: Neonates, Pediatrics, and Adults - Daily Census: 6-7 ventilated patients, with a total of 12 beds. - Uses specialized equipment, including Maquet Servo i, Draeger V500, and Jet Ventilation systems. **Compliance Requirements:** - CPI Certification (Calm Every Storm online version accepted). - Lab tests must be completed within 72 hours of signing the contract. - RTO (Request to Off) must be submitted at initial application and cannot exceed 7 days without extending the contract. **Other Information:** - Must hold an active MD or Compact License at the time of application. - References: 2 satisfactory professional references required from recent employers. - Local candidates (under 50 miles) are not eligible for this position.
