Ford Motor Company Model e Supply Chain organization is looking for an experienced Electronics/Semiconductor professional to join our Semiconductor Sourcing and Supply Chain team. The team is composed of Purchasing/Technical Experts who, along with our Engineering, Supplier Technical Assistance and Manufacturing teams will help ensure world class delivery by our supply base. The candidate will interact with Suppliers and Ford Sites globally.

What you'll do...

Work in a high performing Semiconductor Purchasing team to ensure Security of Supply of Optimal Costed Semiconductor Components for our next generation Electronic Modules.

Establish/strengthen Semiconductor supplier relationships, enabling Ford to better align with and influence supplier technology roadmaps.

Collaborate with Product Development to source Semiconductors meeting technical and quality requirements to allow delivery of state-of-the-art Smart connected vehicles

Lead issuing RFQ's to source Semiconductors for next generation electronic modules.

Develop purchasing strategies and execute tactical operations for high voltage module projects using SiC/Si IGBT/GaN components to ensure long term production capacity and continuity of supply at best cost.

Tasks include setting up suppliers (onboarding), working directly with Engineering, Vehicle Programs and MP&L to manage proto builds and EDI communication for demand forecasts, long lead time POs and releases. Align with Finance to ensure invoices are received and paid per terms and payment issues are resolved.

Manage Supplier emerging significant issues (supply issues, Quality, Cost etc.) and drive internal risk mitigation. Champion continuous improvement activities within the Semiconductor Purchasing team (including bureaucracy/efficiency improvement).

Engage Semiconductor supplier partners at the executive and corporate level to develop strong partnerships. Hold regular Business reviews with suppliers.

You'll have...

Bachelor's degree in Business/Supply Chain or bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering

4+ years of experience with Automotive Semiconductors

5+ years of experience in Purchasing, Engineering or Sales

Prior specialized experience sourcing and managing high voltage electrical components (SiC, IGBT, GaN)

Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to build strong and effective relationships across technical and business teams globally

Advanced knowledge with direct semiconductor sourcing and supply chain experience valued

Experience in process planning, implementation, and launch in electronics manufacturing systems

Possess excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills; those needed to interact with external and internal stakeholders.
