Fortinet is developing a powerful platform that combines security for data centers and carrier solutions to enable organizations to efficiently manage, scale, and secure their networks. This QA Engineer role involves working with a strong technical team experienced in delivering solutions to large carriers. Participate in building a high-end firewall platform for data centers/carriers that provides high throughput packet processing for service providers using the latest networking technologies. The ideal candidate is willing to learn new skills and tackle challenges. Responsibilities
Perform functional testing on newly developed products using a combination of manual and automated testing techniques. Follow internal development, test, and build processes. Design testbeds and identify necessary equipment. Explore FortiGate features and develop new test approaches with the appropriate test tools and skills. Work closely with Developers, QA, and others to understand new features and use cases. Identify, document, and track software defects found during testing. Write and maintain automation scripts. Demonstrate passion, motivation, and willingness to learn and explore new technologies. Collaborate effectively as a team player. Qualifications
3+ years of QA testing experience. A degree or technical diploma in Computer Science, Computer Technology, or related field. Solid understanding of TCP/IP, routing, DNS, DHCP, VPN, HA, routing and switching. Experience with network infrastructure, hardware, and troubleshooting. Strong knowledge of scripting tools, Python, Robot Framework, and Linux Bash. Good understanding of Linux platform and its tools. Hands-on experience with VM configuration (ESXi, Proxmox) or Docker containers. Understanding of general QA procedures and methodologies. Ability to work on assigned tasks under tight time constraints. Ability to work in a collaborative environment and communicate well with other departments. Networking certifications (e.g., FCA/FCP/FCSS, CCNA/CCNP) are a plus. Educational Requirement
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science/engineering, or equivalent. Salary and Benefits
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130,000-$150,000. Fortinet offers benefits including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k), 11 paid holidays, vacation time, sick time, and a comprehensive leave program. Wage ranges are based on factors including labor market, job type, and job level. Exact salary offers are determined by the candidate's knowledge, skill level, qualifications, experience, and geographic location. All roles are eligible to participate in the Fortinet equity program. Bonus eligibility is reviewed at the time of hire and annually at the Company's discretion.
