As a

Distribution Center Supervisor

at the Pittsburgh Paints Company, you will be part of an exciting team and assist across multiple customer channels to ensure the product reaches the accurate facilities. The Distribution Center Supervisor will report to the Senior Regional Distribution Manager and may require some cross function project work with other leaders in the company. Responsibilities Responsible for oversight and managerial control of a large, complex Distribution Center. Leads and manages all aspects and activities of a 1 shift, DC operation with full time associates, plus contract and seasonal workers. The Distribution Center services Pittsburgh Paints Co. customers across all channels (Company Stores, independent dealers, The Home Depot, Walmart). In addition to customers, the Distribution Center may handle direct truck shipments from associated production facilities to other network warehouses. Responsible for the safe operation of the facility, including compliance with PPC and governmental policies on EH&S Management Systems, OSHA, EPA, and DOT compliance, and providing a safe and healthy work environment for DC employees. Develops and manages the annual operating budget and maintains good cost control over operating expenses to help meet or exceed financial objectives. Establishing the correct staffing levels and supplementing permanent employees with contract and temporary labor is essential to achieving desired cost objectives. Responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the facility and works with the facility landlord to address deficiencies in building & grounds. Prepare capital spending plans and requests as needed. Maintains daily contact with centralized customer service (in establishing customer priorities and communicating potential customer outages), inventory control (for stock-outs, new product launches, etc.) and 3 rd

party transportation providers (to meet delivery schedules and manage carrier capacity effectively). Proficient in various Business IT systems (SAP) and 3 rd

party tools for transportation scheduling.

Qualifications: Distribution or manufacturing work experience is a plus. A bachelor degree in business administration, management, logistics, supply chain, engineering, or a related field is preferred. Must be familiar with operations of power equipment. Strong judgment, decision-making, written & verbal communication skills are required. Strong computer skills: WHIMS R/F and SAP (software environment), Microsoft Excel & Office at a minimum.
