The Associate - Sourcing - Capital Procurement Specialist supports the Manufacturing Component's sourcing needs for automation, construction, engineering, and engineered equipment, focusing on capital project delivery and category management. This role is part of the Global Manufacturing Procurement Capital & Infrastructure team, which is essential for sourcing and purchasing goods and services in a manner that adds significant value to our internal client organizations, ensuring Lilly maintains a competitive edge in the global pharmaceutical sector. The individual in this role will leverage the Lilly Strategic Sourcing Process to optimize value for our customers within defined timeframes. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in procurement, supplier evaluation, and negotiation of both domestic and international supply agreements. This includes managing relationships internally and with suppliers to facilitate successful capital project delivery while implementing cost-effective sourcing strategies that minimize supply risks. Key Responsibilities: Manage category strategies for global acquisition of engineering, construction, automation services, and capital equipment. Lead requirement reviews, develop sourcing strategies, conduct supplier due diligence, oversee the RFP process, and manage contract negotiations and awards. Collaborate with business clients to qualify suppliers; engage in supplier relationship management and conduct spend analysis and risk management. Spearhead sourcing for major capital projects (>$5MM) at Lilly's global manufacturing locations. Oversee procurement management for high-risk, complex projects, optimizing resources and ensuring compliance with procurement procedures. Develop and identify cost reduction and risk mitigation opportunities, aiming for savings of $5M or more annually. Execute procurement activities in line with Global Procurement procedures, emphasizing competitive bidding and source evaluations. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Management, Supply Chain, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field with relevant experience. A minimum of 3 years of experience in capital projects or procurement/supply chain roles. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Qualifications such as CIPS, IIPMM, or ISM certification are a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience in pharmaceutical processes or plant operations is preferred. Adept at influencing and negotiating with stakeholders. Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong project management, presentation, and communication abilities. Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously in a complex, multi-organizational setting. Experience with SAP or Ariba is beneficial. Additional Information: Travel requirements: 2-3 weeks per year, both internationally and domestically, may be necessary to support sourcing initiatives and supplier management activities. The anticipated salary range for this role is $57,750 - $129,800. Eligible employees may also qualify for a company bonus based on individual and company performance, along with a comprehensive benefits program.
