Overview Honeywell is seeking an

RF DMS Engineering Manager

to provide essential technical expertise and resources in the replacement and redesign of obsolete RF components across various production lines. This role includes generating technical proposals and basis of estimates (BOE) related to Diminishing Manufacturing Sources (DMS) initiatives. The RF DMS Engineering Manager will oversee and coordinate work activities associated with the development, implementation, and maintenance of manufacturing methods, processes, and activities. You will facilitate collaboration among development, process, and manufacturing engineering teams throughout the Honeywell Lifecycle Management process, ensuring the successful integration of redesigned products into production. You will review engineering designs, contributing critical insights on technical, quality, and manufacturing requirements. You will manage and facilitate all processes of engineering activities to keep manufacturing focused on value-added work, promote best practices, and align with business objectives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of engineering operations.

Leadership in Obsolescence Management:

Provide focused leadership in identifying and mitigating obsolescence risks, including responses to obsolescence notices and ongoing evaluation of components at risk of becoming obsolete. Component Analysis and Verification:

Identify suitable replacement parts for obsolete components and perform analysis and verification to ensure performance and reliability, maintaining product integrity. Support for Production Lifecycles:

Address production technical issues that arise during the product lifecycle. Supply Continuity Management:

Work with the supply chain team to secure reliable sources for components for ongoing and future RF projects. Facilitation of Manufacturing Processes:

Implement robust, cost-effective processes and ensure product structures align with standard operational methods. Leadership and Team Direction:

Lead and direct the day-to-day activities of the design and manufacturing engineering team, promoting quality and performance improvements across the organization. Stakeholder Communication:

Proactively communicate with stakeholders to ensure goals are met and foster a collaborative environment. Engineer Mentorship and Development:

Support the professional growth of entry- or intermediate-level engineers and production engineers pursuing RF design and development careers. Advanced RF/Microwave Design:

Lead the design and development of complex RF/Microwave circuits (amplifiers, mixers, switches, filters, oscillators) using advanced simulation and modeling in accordance with Honeywell Design Guidelines. Complex System Analysis:

Conduct and oversee multistage cascade analyses to ensure optimal RF system performance. Test and Validation Leadership:

Define test strategies, develop test procedures, perform circuit and reliability analysis, and guide testing and optimization of prototype circuits and components. Cross-functional Collaboration:

Collaborate with mechanical engineers, designers, and product engineers to ensure seamless integration of electronic designs, and oversee mechanical design and drawing packages. Support production line testing and troubleshooting to meet delivery commitments. Qualifications

Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or physics, plus 10+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing advanced microwave and millimeter-wave subsystems and components. 10+ years of experience with linear simulation tools (e.g., ADS, Microwave Office) and EM simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, Sonnet) or similar software. 10+ years of experience using CAD tools (e.g., Draftsight, AutoCAD) for detailed engineering designs. 3-5 years in a project lead role on high-visibility projects. 3-5 years of hands-on mentoring and coaching experience. Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance. This position requires access to technology, materials, software or hardware controlled by US export laws. Applicants must be a “US Person” under US export laws or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license. Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or physics, plus 15+ years of hands-on experience designing and developing advanced microwave and millimeter-wave subsystems and components. 15+ years of experience with linear simulation tools (e.g., ADS, Microwave Office) and EM tools (e.g., HFSS, Sonnet) or similar software. 15+ years of experience using CAD tools (e.g., Draftsight, AutoCAD) for detailed engineering designs. Experience in Spice Modeling. Experience in drawing CAD tools and related processes. Salary Range:

$160,000 - $205,000 annually. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Applicable pay within the posted range may vary based on location, job function, education, and experience.
