Director of Client Engagement
to originate and grow Talentfoot’s client relationships across the Chicago and Midwest markets. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Client Engagement, this role focuses on building new business, expanding existing accounts, and collaborating with our marketing team to deliver Talentfoot’s services and solutions. You’ll consult directly with clients, conduct needs assessments, guide them through our search models, and partner with leadership to strengthen strategic partnerships. Over time, this position may evolve into a senior leadership role within Talentfoot’s client engagement function. Key Responsibilities Business Origination & Growth Drive net new business through client outreach, warm introductions, and Talentfoot’s Ideal Client Profile (ICP). Expand existing accounts by activating the TF Champions program and uncovering new opportunities within client networks. Collaborate with Marketing on MQLs, lead pitch presentations, manage proposals, contracts, and follow-up materials. Own a $1M+ annual quota, generating ~50 requisitions and ~25 closed deals. Partnerships & Strategic Initiatives Partner with the VP of Client Engagement to execute strategies that strengthen relationships with private equity groups, channel partners, and other high-potential networks. Leverage Talentfoot’s brand, events, and community-driven programs to expand engagement and build long-term partnerships. Private Equity Engagement Build relationships with PE operating and managing partners that lead to portfolio company opportunities. Incorporate PE networks into the broader Talentfoot growth strategy without making it the sole focus of the role. Client & Community Engagement Ensure exceptional client experiences by coordinating with Marketing and Delivery teams. Represent Talentfoot at client meetings, industry events, and curated gatherings to drive engagement and future business opportunities. Who You Are Experience & Skills 4+ years of executive search experience paired with 4+ years in B2B consultative sales. Proven ability to originate business and manage client relationships, with a track record of closing significant revenue. Strong relationship-builder with experience across corporate and investor-backed organizations. Entrepreneurial, autonomous, and comfortable operating in a lean, high-growth environment.
