Description
The Leidos Civil NISC IV program is seeking a highly skilled NEPA / EOSH Environmental Engineer to support the Federal Aviation Administration. In this role, you will provide essential technical support to ensure a safe and healthy work environment. Your expertise will help us implement and maintain the MMAC Environmental Occupational Safety & Health Management System (EOSHMS) in accordance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
As a key member of our team, you will engage with various programs, including NEPA (National Environmental Policy Act), Construction Project Planning, and Environmental Reviews, enabling you to make a significant impact in environmental compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Construction Design Reviews to evaluate soil disposal and site conditions in relation to the MMAC Environmental Clean-up Program.
Perform Environmental Due Diligence Assessments for projects.
Prepare and review Environmental Clean-up reports and remediation efforts for known and emerging contaminants.
Provide technical support to the FAA environmental compliance program.
Utilize your engineering expertise in environmental protection, specifically in pollution control and resource quality.
Stay informed on federal and state environmental laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Assist with the formulation of Environmental Impact Statements and assessments associated with property acquisition or sale.
Evaluate occupational health hazards and safety concerns in relation to acquisition services.
Support audits for the EOSH Management System.
Contribute to the Office of Facility Management Services Division in various capacities.
Develop procedures and standards to minimize hazards and environmental exposures.
Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to analyze and address field-level hazards.
Research and review regulatory and scientific materials while providing training to MMAC campus organizations.
Identify and implement necessary controls to address occupational health hazards and environmental impacts.
Document and support initiatives for the MMAC EMS and OSHMS.
Offer professional opinions and training on best practices for environmental stewardship and occupational safety.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 5 years of professional experience, or 3 years with a related master's degree.
Demonstrated experience in environmental clean-up and NEPA support.

Pay Range:
