Responsibilities
Lead UX activities across the product development lifecycle from research to concept development to front-end implementation.
Continuously prototype, test designs with users, and translate results back into the design process with clear and compelling visual communication.
Collaborate with Industrial designers, UX Architecture designers, software developers, and product management to communicate design intent to engineering and requirements teams.
Create wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, and user flows with a problem-solving mindset.
Manage own projects and switch between big-picture thinking and product-level details.
Support design and development of user interfaces for devices or large systems; create proof of concept models demonstrating design potential.
Contribute to product labeling and create images and technical documentation such as user manuals, IFUs, and quick reference guides.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in UX Design or related field, or equivalent experience or certificate program with related bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 5 years of experience in a UX Design role; 2 years in medical device or related industry preferred. 2 years in a lead UX role for new product development.
Experience in all phases of the product development process: research, concept development, front-end development, prototyping, user testing, and iteration.
Hands-on experience creating wireframes, prototypes, storyboards, and user flows; strong problem-solving mindset.
Experience in agile teams or scrum development process.
Ability to receive objective criticism, defend ideas, and improve on them.
Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and clear communication of design intent to engineering and product management.
Skills
Excellent written and verbal communication; strong creative, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; technical judgment; leadership; interpersonal skills.
