Job Title: Sanitation Worker
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Sanitation Worker to join our team and ensure our facility meets the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This is a hands-on role requiring a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness in a food manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and dusting in designated areas.
Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with established procedures.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
Operate cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners and floor scrubbers, to maintain cleanliness.
Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety standards.
Assist in the setup and cleanup of special events or projects.
Report maintenance issues or hazards to supervisors promptly.
Follow established protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
Collaborate with other staff to maintain a cohesive and well-organized workspace.
Essential Skills
Experience in cleaning, janitorial duties, or as a sanitation worker.
Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation procedures.
Ability to handle cleaning chemicals and follow safety guidelines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high hygiene standards.
Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical fitness and stamina to perform repetitive tasks, stand for extended periods, lift/move 50 lbs., and climb ladders.
Basic understanding of health and safety regulations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Spanish-speaking ability is highly preferred.
Experience in a food manufacturing facility is advantageous.
Willingness to learn and obtain additional certifications, such as Scissor lift, is a plus.
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.

Work Environment

The standard working hours are from 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with opportunities for additional hours if desired.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.50 - $18.50/hr.
