Mechanics Hall is announcing a

BRAND-NEW

volunteer position:

Door Monitoring Position . If you love helping people and being a part of making a difference, historic Mechanics Hall is the perfect volunteer opportunity for you. Some days can be very hectic and others much slower. There are two shifts: Early shift is from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. and Afternoon shift is from 1 p.m. - 5 p.m. Become a member of a volunteer team where your time, talent and hard work are recognized, appreciated and rewarded. In this role, the volunteer will be allowed to work on academic studies during this shift and/or read a book. The generalized duties include greeting and directing guests; signing in visitors upon entry and exit; and guiding visitors to the appropriate areas. This is an important role in which you are the first person that Mechanic Hall guests will see or hear. All staff and volunteers of Mechanics Hall are required to submit a CORI check. We are also accepting applications for our events: greeters, ushers and concession stand. In the event roles, volunteers are required to assist guests during safety evacuation training and are also required to sometimes stand for long periods of time, upwards of 2 - 3 hours at a shift.
