2nd and 3rd Shift Opportunities (Must be able to train on first)

Pay: $22/hr



Job Description

We are urgently seeking Material Handlers to join our team. The successful candidates will initially train on the 1st shift before transitioning to the 2nd shift, which offers a 10% differential during training. The role involves using a sit-down forklift and performing manual labor to maneuver raw materials and finished goods throughout the plant.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of material handling and inventory control tasks, including receiving raw material deliveries, preparing materials for production, transporting materials, and storing them in appropriate warehouse areas.

Accurately perform work assignments and computer transactions required to adjust inventory.

Conduct calculations using various units of measure.

Visually inspect all materials handled to ensure quality.

Utilize manual and power material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move and arrange materials.

Maintain workflow by ensuring the timely provision of proper materials.

Maintain a safe and clean work environment, notifying lead operators and/or supervisors of unsafe practices, conditions, or acts.

Perform work according to SPARs, Work Instructions, and verbal instructions; seek assistance from lead operators and/or supervisors for problem resolution.

Communicate effectively with other associates, lead operators, and supervisors, relaying information to the next shift and assisting others as needed.

Receive and unpack materials and supplies, checking receipts and bills of lading against purchase orders for proper shipment, shortages, damages, or defects.

Complete required verifications and documentation accurately and timely.

Essential Skills

Experience with sit-down forklift operation.

Basic computer skills.

Experience in material handling and inventory management.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of a high school education.

One year of experience in a related field.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean and well-lit, resembling a clean room. While the pace is not overly fast, employees are consistently engaged in tasks. Effective communication and teamwork are essential, as there are various smells due to the adhesive manufacturing process. The facility is designed to ensure safety, requiring uniforms, hairnets, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, and shields.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
