Description A4AL is seeking Regional Events Directors to plan and execute events within their local area as part of our national organizing strategy. These directors will coordinate regional fundraising events, chapter launches, and in-district meetups. While this is a primarily remote role, it is ideal for someone who understands the local political and community landscape, has established contacts in their region, and can leverage those connections to build attendance and impact. Directors will collaborate with national and local team leads to bring events from concept to completion. Responsibilities

The Regional Events Directors will oversee all aspects of event planning and execution within their assigned region. This includes identifying and securing venues, coordinating with vendors, planning materials, and managing setup and teardown. They will also lead day-of operations, ensuring a seamless experience for attendees, speakers, and volunteers. Additional duties include managing event-related communications (invitations, Save the Dates, follow-ups) and working with the Social Media team to promote events. Directors may also supervise regional interns and volunteers. Qualifications

Ideal candidates will have experience in event coordination, political organizing, or campaign work. Strong communication, organization, and time management skills are essential. Familiarity with Google Workspace, Canva, and major social media platforms is preferred. Candidates should be self-starters, capable of working independently while collaborating with remote and in-person teams. Preference will be given to candidates with strong local networks and knowledge of the Washington, DC or Baltimore region.
