A large South Bay company is looking for an Accounting Manager to join their team. In this role, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing staff, standardizing procedures, month-end close, variance analysis, P&L scrubbing, and balance sheet reconciliations. What do you need for this Accounting Manager role?

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field - 7+ years of progressive accounting experience - Experience reviewing the work of others - Advanced Excel and experience working with large data sets - CPA and IFRS experience are nice to have

What will you do in this Accounting Manager role?

-Lead and manage accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, and budget development.

-Recruit, hire, and evaluate the performance of accounting and finance personnel.

-Coordinate onboarding and training for new employees; assess and address ongoing training needs for existing staff.

-Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure integrity in accounting transactions and budget processes.

-Ensure the timely production of periodic financial statements in accordance with GAAP and applicable financial reporting standards.

-Manage tax planning throughout the fiscal year and oversee preparation and filing of the annual corporate tax return.

-Conduct audits to verify compliance with state and federal regulations; act as liaison with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for the annual audit.

-Advise management on financial strategy, including both short- and long-term goals and policies.

-Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government financial regulations.

-Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance workflow and departmental efficiency.

-Support internal and external audit functions as required.

-Maintain confidentiality and ensure financial data security by adhering to internal control policies.
