IAT Insurance Group . IAT Insurance Group has an opening for an Inland Marine Claims Specialist. The Inland Marine Claims Specialist is responsible for investigating the extent of the company's liability and handling inland marine claims that are moderate to severe in exposure, from inception until conclusion of the claim. This position can report to any of the listed IAT offices below: Raleigh, North Carolina Naperville, Illinois Rolling Meadows, Illinois Virginia Beach, Virginia This role works a hybrid schedule from any of our IAT office locations. The hybrid schedule reflects our values by requiring in-office collaboration Monday through Wednesday, with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday. While we prefer candidates to work from one of our listed IAT office locations, were open to considering fully remote arrangements for the ideal candidate. Responsibilities
Manage Inland Marine claims with a focus on cargo (household goods) and freight handling, addressing moderate to severe cases in accordance with established Claim Guidelines. Manage residence damage claims resulting from household goods moves, handled under the auto liability policy. Analyze coverage for reported losses. Initiate contact within 24 hours and maintain communication with all stakeholders. Investigate claims through documentation review, coverage analysis, and resolution planning. Identify subrogation, contribution, and SIU opportunities. Establish timely and accurate reserves per Claim Guidelines. Negotiate and authorize settlements within authority limits. Manage vendors and stakeholder relationships. Prepare required correspondence, including coverage letters. Performs additional duties as assigned. Qualifications
Must Have: HS degree/GED with 5+ years of relevant claims experience Experience handling Inland Marine claims Active home-state claims adjuster license Ability to identify and investigate subrogation potential of a claim Ability to draft appropriate and professional correspondence Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office CPCU and other insurance related studies are beneficial Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to organize, multi-task and prioritize work Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to analyze data, utilize sound judgment to draw conclusions and make supported decisions Authorized to work in the United States without requiring VISA sponsorship now or in the future Preferred to Have: Bachelors Degree Litigation experience Knowledge of various inland marine insurance coverages and forms CPCU and other insurance related studies Culture and Benefits

The annual gross salary range for this posting is $47,230 $102,780, representing the base salary range. Total compensation includes base salary, bonus opportunities, 401(k) match, profit sharing, and more. Actual salaries vary based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and location.
