BAE Systems Mission Assessments (MA) organization is revolutionizing how mission-level operational analysis is planned, executed, and delivered. The Mission Assessments organization was created to address the rapidly increasing demand for mission-level operational analysis. Our mission is to achieve excellence in multidomain (MDO), systems-of-systems (SoS) Mission Assessments and effectively communicate the value of BAE Systems products to customers, Do leadership and the warfighter. To do this we must bring together models of advanced technologies, weapons, platforms, and threats in relevant mission simulations and then apply our deep subject matter expertise and experience to deliver assessments that can change the world. BAE Systems is seeking a collaborative, action-oriented leader to support the Study Manager department within MA. This position requires a desire to lead people, lead leaders, and a desire to improve the way BAE Systems, Inc. executes. The Engineering Manager will lead numerous study managers and ensure the Mission Assessment organization is fully staffed with Engineering Leaders that will drive program execution. The candidate needs to demonstrate proven execution of an engineering program through outstanding leadership and solid management skills. The Engineer Manager will also be hands-on helping to execute more of our complex programs representing the technical team to project managers, functions, and executive leadership, and provide responsibilities for developing the overall technical solution. In addition, it is expected that the successful candidate will influence the design, development, and analysis of the overall study. Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. Required Education, Experience, & Skills: Typically, a Bachelors degree in Engineering or similar field and 10 years work experience or equivalent experience. Requires qualified candidates to hold an active Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain Special Access Program clearances and DoD Top Secret/SCI clearance. Experience in engineering development or production of complex electronic systems. Experience leading engineering teams in the solution of complex technical problems. Product engineering acumen within one or more disciplines, and engineering management experience, to include: planning, estimating, and execution. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills: Degrees and/or direct job experience within multiple engineering disciplines. Previous job experience operating within classified and/or a Special Access Program environment. Previous program engineering management experience. Previous experience working Internal Research & Development (IRAD) projects. Electronic Warfare (EW) technical domain knowledge, including hardware products or capabilities. Planning and organizational skills with the ability to diagnose, resolve complex problems, and to develop improved methods to increase program efficiency. Written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills. Demonstrated leadership skills (soft skills, strategic thinking, leading teams, building relationships). Team building skills that enable collaboration and coordination within and across teams, functions, and other business units. Pay Information: Full-Time Salary Range: $146670 - $249330 Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
