Component Engineer
You will be a Component Engineer at Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). Your responsibilities will include participating in the selection, evaluation, qualification, testing, and failure analysis of Electrical, Electronic, Electromechanical, and Electro-optical (EEEE) Components. As a Component Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Plans, directs, reviews, and coordinates the preparation of project documentation to ensure customer contract and company requirements are met. Prepares EEEE Component Source Control Drawings (SCDs), evaluates vendors, and analyzes EEEE Component test reports. Overseeing Subcontractor EEEE Components, generating/reviewing/approving Non-Standard Part Approval Requests (NSPARs) at Parts, Materials, and Process Control Board (PMPCB) meetings, reviewing and approving engineering drawings and SCDs, participating/leading PMP issue resolutions, and assisting/leading failure analysis under the EEEE Components domain. MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. Basic Qualifications: Must hold a BS or MS degree Must be proficient with component engineering obsolescence tools Must be proficient with product life cycle tools, such as Windchill PLM, Silicon Expert Must be proficient with computer tools such as MS Excel. The ability to work in team environment - Strong communication skills and able to effectively work with manufacturers and other external part suppliers Ability to travel to both the customer and supplier locations Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret Clearance. Desired Skills: Experience in electrical component manufacturing process and physical property analysis Experience in Components Engineering with knowledge of electronic components and devices. Electrical or Electronic Engineering experience (such as components or digital/analog design). Material Science Engineer degree with electrical component experience or an Electrical Engineer degree with component engineering experience. Experience with missile platforms Knowledge of Parts Management Plan This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
