Job Title: RESALE SHOP COORDINATORFLSA Status: Non-ExemptReports To: CEOPosition SummaryThe Resale Shop Coordinator oversees daily operations of the resale shop, supervises shop volunteers, ensures positive customer service experiences, maintains accurate inventory control, and upholds safety and compliance standards. This role plays a key part in supporting Keep Pearland Beautifuls mission by maximizing the resale shops efficiency and community impact.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe list of essential functions, as outlined herein, is intended to be representative of the tasks performed within this classification. The omission of an essential function does not preclude management from assigning duties not listed herein if such functions are a logical assignment to the position.Essential FunctionsSupervise daily resale shop operations, including opening, closing, and cash handling.Ensure proper merchandising, pricing, and display of items to maximize sales of both physical store and online store.Monitor and enforce safety procedures, loss-prevention practices, and operational standards.Maintain accurate records of sales, donations, and inventory.Coordinate with the Facility & Materials Manager to develop and implement staff/volunteer training materials and procedures.Foster positive customer relationships by modeling excellent customer service and addressing issues promptly.Contribute to overall team success by supporting other programs or projects as assigned.Education, Experience, and LicensesHigh school diploma or equivalent required; associates or bachelors degree preferred.1+ years of supervisory or retail management experience.Experience in resale, thrift, or nonprofit retail operations preferred.Certifications in cash handling, retail safety, or volunteer management a plus.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong organizational and time-management skills.Social media knowledge is required for this position.Must be able to manage and operate both a physical and online resale store presence for the organization.Ability to supervise, train, and motivate staff and volunteers.Knowledge of retail operations, including merchandising, sales tracking, and customer service.Basic bookkeeping and point-of-sale system knowledge.Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interacting with employees, volunteers, donors, and customers.Ability to problem-solve in dynamic retail environments.Competence with office and retail technology (computers, POS systems, calculators, telephones, and email).Ability to fulfill requests and provide information in a courteous, timely, and professional manner.Ability to actively listen and respond with patience and professionalism.Commitment to modeling and promoting the mission of Keep Pearland Beautiful.Must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision.Physical Demands/Work EnvironmentPhysical Demands: Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.Frequent standing, walking, reaching, stooping, bending, and climbing ladders.Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and depth perception.Work Environment: Work is performed primarily in an indoor shop environment with regular public interaction but will require frequent exposure to the recycling drop off area where you may be exposed to heavy, sharp, bulky, and potentially hazardous materials.
