Overview

Director of Data Governance (Office: Nashville, TN). The Director of Data Governance & Strategy within Philips Data Strategy & Analytics (DS&A) organization leads the development, implementation, and enforcement of enterprise-wide data governance frameworks for the North America Region. This role ensures the ethical, secure, and compliant use of data while enabling advanced analytics, insights, and AI/ML capabilities across Philips business domains. The position requires strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and deep expertise in regulated data environments to drive business impact and trust in data. Responsibilities

Define and execute data governance strategies ensuring alignment with business priorities, drive adoption of global frameworks for data management, and establish enterprise-wide standards balancing compliance and innovation. Develop and enforce policies for compliance with global regulations (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR), oversee governance mechanisms for data use in AI/analytics, and lead risk assessments on data privacy and ethical use. Collaborate with business units and technology teams to integrate data stewardship in analytics and AI/ML, oversee metadata management for transparency, and represent DS&A in external industry panels. Lead the data governance team, promote a data-driven culture across Philips, and build relationships with stakeholders to drive enterprise-wide adoption of responsible data practices. Qualifications

10+ years in data governance, AI/ML, healthcare, regulated industries, or equivalent. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Health Informatics, Data Governance, or a related field. Proven track record leading enterprise data governance or stewardship initiatives at scale. Strong knowledge of data lifecycle management, healthcare interoperability standards (FHIR, HL7, DICOM), and regulated environments. Deep understanding of ethical/responsible AI frameworks, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. Minimum Requirements & Work Arrangement

The pay range for this position in Nashville, TN is $144,750 to $231,600. The actual base pay offered may vary based on knowledge, skills, experience, and location. Other compensation such as annual incentive bonuses, stock purchase plans, and long-term incentives may be offered. Philips Total Rewards includes benefits such as PTO, 401k (up to 7% match), HSA with company contribution, and education reimbursement. Additional Information
