Procurement Coordinator
to support our estimating team during the bidding phase of commercial projects. This individual will be responsible for identifying, contacting, and coordinating with subcontractors and vendors to obtain competitive and accurate pricing for all project scopes. Key Responsibilities
Solicit bids from qualified subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers based on project scope and specifications. Review project documents (plans, specs, and scopes of work) to determine necessary trades and materials. Maintain and update subcontractor/vendor databases and ensure outreach includes a diverse and competitive pool. Distribute bid invitations, project documents, and clarifications via email or bid management software. Track responses, follow up with subcontractors, and ensure timely submission of all quotes. Assist the estimator in organizing, reviewing, and comparing received bids for completeness and competitiveness. Coordinate and schedule pre-bid walkthroughs or site visits if required. Ensure all subcontractor documentation (licenses, insurance, qualifications) is up to date and compliant. Provide administrative support to the estimating team as needed during the bid process. Qualifications
5+ years of experience in construction estimating, procurement, or project coordination (preferred). Strong understanding of construction trades and the bidding process. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with bid management platforms (e.g., Procore) is a plus. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications. Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Preferred Traits
Comfortable on the phone and via email strong follow-up skills are essential. Self-starter who takes initiative and ownership of responsibilities. Team player who can work collaboratively with estimators, project managers, and subcontractors. Job Details
