Position Description Banner Defense is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to join our team! In this role, you will focus on automation development, testing, and deployment through the entire CI/CD pipeline lifecycle. Your expertise will be utilized for implementing automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices while designing and maintaining CI/CD processes, tools, and deployment strategies. Responsibilities Implement automation for cloud resources using DevSecOps best practices. Develop CI/CD processes, tools, and deployment strategies. Build and deploy containers and utilize containerization technologies. Work in a high-performance environment using Agile methodologies to support system design, architecture, application development, integration, deployment, and maintenance. Create, develop, and implement solutions addressing infrastructure and security requirements. Identify needs for automation, designing, and implementing CI/CD solutions. Lead Agile management and collaboration using tools like Jira, Confluence, and GitLab. Build or maintain CI/CD components and shared libraries to enable quicker build and deployment. Travel may be required. Required Skills/Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field. 7+ years of relevant experience. Active Secret Clearance. Understanding of DevSecOps practices. Experience with cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure. Experience with Agile practices. Ability to write or review software code (Java, Python, etc.). Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, etc.). Experience with application security tools (SAST, DAST, vulnerability scanning). Familiarity with security frameworks (NIST 800-53, FedRAMP, DoD IL5, etc.). Knowledge of network security fundamentals (firewalls, zero trust, encryption). Familiarity with securing cloud workloads. Willingness to expand knowledge and improve skills. Desired Skills/Experience Experience with missile defense cybersecurity and IT policies. Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
