A well-established electrical contractor is seeking an experienced
Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Estimator
to support its growing portfolio of utility, industrial, and infrastructure projects. This role will focus on preparing accurate and competitive estimates for electrical scopes of work, supporting both new construction and retrofit opportunities. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed
cost estimates
for commercial, industrial, and utility electrical projects. Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to define project scope and estimate requirements. Develop accurate labor, material, and equipment takeoffs for C&I electrical systems. Solicit, review, and analyze subcontractor and vendor quotes for accuracy and competitiveness. Identify project risks and opportunities, and incorporate them into estimates. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to support proposal development. Maintain estimating databases and cost history to ensure accurate benchmarking. Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client presentations as needed. Ensure estimates are delivered on time, aligned with company standards, and competitive in the marketplace. Qualifications Bachelors degree in
Construction Management, Engineering, or related field , or equivalent industry experience. 5+ years of experience as an
electrical estimator , ideally in C&I or utility projects. Strong knowledge of electrical construction means, methods, codes, and standards. Proficiency with estimating software (e.g., Accubid, ConEst, or similar). Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team. OSHA 10 certification preferred (or ability to obtain).
