What this job involves: The HSSE Manager is accountable for providing leadership and guidance to achieve world-class HSSE performance. They will offer advice to the JLL management team regarding workplace safety, assess potential hazardous situations and environmental impacts, conduct accident investigations, and site inspections, and ensure that JLL complies with all statutory and client requirements. The main responsibility of this role is to develop, implement, maintain, and continually improve Health and Safety programs. The goal is to foster a cultural transformation towards zero incidents and injuries. What your day-to-day will look like: Evaluates and identifies standards and controls for safety and health hazards. Monitors compliance with regulations and company standards. Provides day-to-day health, safety, and environmental support/solutions to facility personnel to maintain a safe work environment consistent with company policy and state and federal regulations. Perform HSSE inspection audits and reviews investigation reports to ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented. Responsible for injury reporting, investigating, and tracking along with providing support in workers compensation activities as needed. Responsible for account training compliance. This includes identification of training requirements, training assignments, and associated reporting as needed. Reviews JHAs/PoWA to maintain a consistent safe work environment. May support the development of JHAs as needed. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: 5+ years' experience working with HSSE compliance and management systems with at least 2 years' experience leading, managing and developing HSE teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders. Solid understanding of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in occupational safety and health, environmental science, or equivalent training and experience Professional designations (ASP, CSP, CHMM, etc.) Location: Onsite Chicago, IL Salary/Compensation: $120,000 - $125,000 annually Personalized benefits that support personal well-being and growth: 401(k) plan with matching company contributions Comprehensive Medical, Dental & Vision Care Paid parental leave at 100% of salary Paid Time Off and Company Holidays
