Job Title: Thermo-Mechanical Engineer
We are seeking a highly motivated Thermo-Mechanical Engineer with a strong focus on liquid cooling infrastructure support in the lab and system design to join our dynamic team at Broadcom's CSG. The ideal candidate will play a key role in the entire hardware development cycle, from concept to NPI production, with a specific emphasis on system design, system bring-up and validation. CSG develops large and integrated system-on-chip (SoC) devices for a wide variety of market segments. Our team designs reference and validation systems to enable customers with innovative and effective thermal solutions to address customer constraints including space, thermal boundaries and high volume production viability. Thermo-mechanical lab operations ownership in liquid cooling infrastructure, BGA socket and other thermo-mechanical Thermo-mechanical system component validation and troubleshooting ownership. Advance thermal solutions through vendors to meet product specifications Conduct thermal tests at system level to correlate simulations Document thermal test plan and perform thermal, air flow/impedance measurements Design enclosures based on production definition while working with cross functional teams Manage heat sink and other thermal solution component vendors Troubleshoot thermal issues at system level Qualifications
Bachelor's degree plus 8 years of experience in enclosure level design and thermal test validation. Knowledge of mechanical design tools (e.g. Pro/E, etc) Working knowledge of various heat sinks, heat pipe, vapor chamber designs, liquid cooling Experience in thermal measurement technology and test tools Additional Qualifications
Additional Qualifications Knowledge of industry standards Scripting and automation skills Compensation and Benefits The annual base salary range for this position is $120,000 - $192,000. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus in accordance with relevant plan documents, and equity in accordance with equity plan documents and equity award agreements.
