Overview
The Dispatch, Shipper will coordinate with customers, drivers, and plant personnel to ensure the timely delivery of Ready-Mix Concrete. The Shipper will ensure accurate and complete order fulfillment while optimizing driver and material delivery efficiency to meet organizational goals.
Roles & Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Personally promote the Core value of Zero Accidents and Incidents to all operations Actively engage with customers, drivers, and plant supervisors to promote and reinforce safe behaviors Coordinate directly with customers, drivers, and plant personnel to ensure timely product deliveries Cultivate and maintain professional relationships with all employees Dispatch, monitor, and track truck performance in real time, managing demand, utilization, and capacity Identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency Ensure accurate and complete order fulfillment, verifying materials ordered Optimize driver and material delivery efficiency to meet organizational goals Maintain clear and effective communication with drivers through two-way radios Utilize logistics software to dispatch orders efficiently and professionally Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Quality Control teams to ensure smooth workflows Communicate with customers to resolve issues such as missing, misrouted, or delayed products Document customer complaints and issues in the log system for future reference and resolution
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's Degree preferred Required: 1-2 years of experience in logistics or construction materials industry Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Teams Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including documentation and communication with peers, supervisors, and customers Professional customer service skills and phone etiquette Flexible work schedule, including morning, evening, nights and rotating Saturdays Bilingual in Spanish/English is a significant advantage
