Maintenance Technician
The Maintenance Technician will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, and repair equipment used in steel plate and steel coil manufacturing. This includes plasma tables, steel coil lines, and some PM work on forklifts. The role involves spending 75% of the time in the production area, conducting preventive maintenance and addressing equipment breakdowns. Responsibilities: Perform general maintenance on plant equipment, including lubrication, monitoring, repairing, preventive maintenance, and inspections. Inform relevant personnel if additional resources are required for maintenance tasks. Complete work orders and identify potential equipment problems to initiate improvement projects. Communicate with operators to ensure a smooth operation flow and detect equipment problems or concerns. While the facility is sheltered from the elements, it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter due to constantly opening and closing doors. Temperature control is limited.
