On Axion Sim, we apply Applieds expertise in simulation and autonomy tools to multi-domain (e.g., EO/IR, RF), large-scale simulation for autonomy. It is a startup within a startup with day-long iteration cycles, supplying autonomy tooling to the Defense industry. As a newer product team, engineers on Axion Sim work across multiple development areas, including: Backend application implementation in a state-of-the-art simulator Integration of our tools with real autonomous stacks Much more Role responsibilities (At EpiSci, you will)
Work across our entire stack to develop new products, features, and tools for customers' autonomy development workflows Collaborate with domain experts across infrastructure, robotics, graphics, and startup veteran teams Carve out your own area of expertise and influence product decisions Partner with other members of the autonomy ecosystem to explore different approaches to core autonomy challenges Qualifications
4+ years of experience shipping complex software Experience writing in C, C++, or Python Ability to be a self-starter and quickly adapt to new technical tools Experience designing efficient solutions to a wide range of engineering challenges Proven ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment Nice to have
Working knowledge of containerization or cluster orchestration frameworks (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Experience with communication and radar systems and digital signal processing Experience working on software for defense systems Security requirements

Compensation includes base salary, equity, and benefits. Base salary is a component of the total package and may include equity in the form of options and/or restricted stock units, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401k with employer match, learning and wellness stipends, and paid time off. Benefits are subject to change and may vary by jurisdiction. Applied Intuition pay ranges reflect the minimum and maximum intended target base salaries for new hires. The actual base salary offered will be influenced by factors such as experience, credentials, education, skill requirements, interview performance, and role scope.
