Job Description

ProSidian Seeks a Technical Oversight Specialist - Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project - GSSC [Full-Time [W-2] Senior Consultant] located: The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area to Provide services and support as a Technical Oversight Specialist - Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (PR0173) at The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area.

JOB OVERVIEW

Provides The Department of Energy (DOE) Hanford Site Technical Oversight Support Services for the Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (WTP).

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

SCOPE OF WORK

  • Provide oversight of Technical Oversight Specialist system design review program.
  • Provide oversight of maintenance and work control processes.
  • Provide support to WTP Engineering Division.
  • Assist the Nuclear Services Division (NSD) during DOE's review and comment resolution of the Preliminary Documented Safety Analysis (PDSA) and Documented Safety Analysis (DSA) development and revisions performed by the Technical Oversight Specialist.
  • Coordinate system design reviews for the WTP HLW systems.
  • Assist HLW Federal Project Director in the assessment of alternative tank waste treatment approaches (including DFHLW configuration).
  • Assist the Hanford Interface Management Team with Interface Control Document (ICD).
  • Coordinate to issue assessment and resolution with ORP engineering, regulatory, and other supporting staff.
  • Participate in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), WTP High Level Waste (HLW) assessment progress and Direct Feed High Level Waste (DFHLW) configurations.
  • Work products shall be thorough, accurate, appropriately documented, and comply with established criteria. The Technical Oversight Specialist shall ensure that duties are performed in a competent and professional manner. The Technical Oversight Specialist employee shall submit a weekly report to the technical monitor addressing work accomplished, and deliverable progress.
Qualifications

Desired Qualifications For A GSSC Technical Oversight Specialist - Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project (PR0173) | Full-Time [W-2] Candidates:

The Technical Oversight Specialist - Waste Treatment and Immobilization Plant Project - GSSC shall have consecutive employment in a position with comparable responsibilities within the past five (5) years, Must be able to use a computer to communicate via email; and proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) and related tools and technology required for the position.

SKILLS / ABILITIES / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Technical Oversight Specialist personnel shall possess the following minimum qualifications:

  • Education BS/BA degree in engineering, or science.
  • Experience Six (6) years of directly applicable successful experience as a management consultant or senior manager interfacing and working with organizational executives and senior management, or senior technical or business individuals, within government or industry on significant management, technical, or business issues.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and relevant experience or ability to perform under Hanford or other government agency procedures.
  • Working level of knowledge with ORP's oversight program requirements to include ORP's corrective action management process.
  • Demonstrate familiarity and relevant experience or ability to perform oversight of DOE-ORP Orders/Standards such as facility operations, engineering, maintenance management of a nuclear facility.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Compliance with site specific safety and security requirements, including badging and office protocols.
  • Identification of any conflicts, potential conflicts, or perceived conflicts of interest with any Hanford Site Technical Oversight Specialists.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills (This employer participates in the e-Verify program)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, & Adobe)

ANCILLARY DETAILS OF THE ROLES

TRAVEL: Occasional travel may be required to attend meetings, events, site visits, or other training requirements. Travel is coordinated with the technical point of contact and approved in writing by the Contracting Officer in advance, is allowed, in accordance with Federal Travel Regulations.

LOCATION: Work shall be conducted at or in proximity to The Hanford Eastern Washington (Tri-Cities - Kennewick | Pasco | Richland) Area

Work shall be conducted at the Department of Energy government offices, The Hanford Site, and Richland, WA. This position is telework eligible at the discretion of the Technical Monitor (TM) in consultation with the Contracting Officer (CO). If in-person support is identified as required for any reason and for any length of time by the TM or CO, the contractor shall report for duty in-person as requested.
