Missionary Recruitment Specialist
guides new and potential missionaries through a discovery experience, offering individualized mentorship, discipleship, and care as they explore missionary roles with East-West. They proactively recruit and mobilize long-term overseas missionaries and stateside ministry workers, fostering their spiritual, relational, and emotional health throughout the coaching and assessment process. A key aspect of this role is gaining a deep understanding of the factors that impact missionary health, as well as promoting resources and collaborations to prepare applicants. The specialist also represents the organization at various events and collaborates extensively with field ministry leaders and internal contacts.
This full-time position, based at the East-West offices in Plano, TX, reports to the Recruitment Manager. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including employer-paid medical and dental insurance, 403(b), and paid time off.
Education And Experience
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience within the discipline, highly preferred 2-4 years minimum experience working in a similar role that may include recruitment, cross-cultural missionary work, mentorship, discipleship, or coaching Experience living overseas as a missionary is required Experience working for a missions organization or an organization focused on global outreach, preferred Uphold a close and growing relationship with Jesus Christ

Exceptional Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in grammar and spelling. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate opportunities with poise, diplomacy, and tact, handling sensitive situations with confidentiality, poise, and tact. Ability to listen actively and build genuine rapport. Organizational & Administrative Excellence: Excellent organizational and time management skills, including proficiency in evaluating and prioritizing issues. Conscientious and detailed in all tasks. Ability to follow through and juggle multiple tasks and projects efficiently. Proficiency in Google Enterprise and other standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite). Initiative & Problem-Solving: Ability to take initiative within the scope of job duties and seek and carry out additional responsibilities. Solid judgment and decision-making skills, demonstrating sound judgment by taking appropriate actions regarding questionable findings or concerns. Driven to constantly improve job functions not satisfied with the status quo. Adaptability & Resilience: Flexibility to quickly respond to changing situations to meet needs, reprioritizing work as necessary. Ability to work well under pressure and against deadlines. Flexibility, with a willingness to take initiative. Teamwork & Collaboration: Excellent team player with the ability to work well with others in a team environment. Excited to contribute to the betterment of the team and a willingness to "pitch in" to serve all personnel.
