Senior Electrical Engineer
Lake Superior Consulting is seeking to fill a key position as a Senior Electrical Engineer at our home office in Duluth, MN, or one of our offices in Omaha, NE, Houston, TX, or Pittsburgh, PA. We're growing our Power Engineering practice and are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to help lead the way. This is more than a design role it's an opportunity to: help grow the power market and expand LSC's footprint in the energy sector, build confidence in our designs and capabilities with clients, provide leadership and mentorship to our electrical and power engineering team, play a key role in strengthening client relationships by serving as a trusted technical partner. As a Senior Electrical Engineer at LSC, you will: lead moderate to large sized projects, making technical recommendations and decisions on complex issues, provide leadership and guidance to the electrical engineering team, mentoring staff and growing technical expertise in the power discipline, work with project teams to create design documents and drawings, including power and controls drawings, reports, calculations, and associated documentation, interface with electrical utility providers to design service interconnects, develop specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of electrical equipment, oversee design reviews, perform engineering calculations, studies, reports, and field investigations, apply electrical engineering software (SKM, ETAP, etc.) for modeling and analysis, communicate and coordinate project activities with project management, customer representatives, and stakeholders, manage project scope changes, identify risks, and develop contingency plans, frequently interact with clients, vendors, and contractors to build confidence in LSC's technical solutions, recognize business development opportunities and contribute to proposal writing, cost estimates, and client presentations. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated salary range for this position is $120,000- $160,000 per year.
