OPPORTUNITY

The Accounting Manager will be responsible for full cycle accounting for the company and will report to the Controller. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, a self-starter and has a strong working knowledge of US GAAP. The company is growing fast, and you can grow with it! KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Maintain the general ledger, reconcile accounts, and resolve any discrepancies or errors.
  • Perform month-end close process/tasks including preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations/analysis in-line with the monthly and quarterly close schedules.
  • Recommend, develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Manage and mentor three GL accountants
  • Provide innovative, value-added financial information and supporting analysis to the management team for strategic planning and decision making.
  • Identify and implement improvement ideas and goals to continually streamline financial processing.
  • Assist in periodic inventory counts and reconciliation.
  • Assist with the implementation and management of the payroll system and accounting ERP, including system updates, troubleshooting, and training of relevant staff.
  • Assist with special projects and financial support as needed.
  • Collaborate with senior management to develop and manage the annual budget and periodic forecasts.
  • Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing recommendations for corrective actions as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting required
  • CPA is a nice to have
  • 3-6 years of accounting experience
  • Full cycle accounting experience required
  • Supervisory & mentoring experience
  • Intermediate Excel skills required (vlookups, pivots, large data sets)
  • Ability to prioritize workload, and meet multiple deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment with little to no supervision.
  • Experience with system implementations is highly desirable.
  • Process improvement skills - always looking to enhance productivity through process improvement
