Job Title: Accounting Supervisor
Location: Casper, WY (Onsite Only - Not a Remote Position)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (May require extended hours or weekends, especially during year-end close)
Salary Range: $65,000 - $80,000 annually
Job Type: Full-Time, Direct Hire

Position Summary
Adecco is helping a local client in Casper, WY in search of an Accounting Supervisor. This is a full-time, onsite-only, direct hire position. The Accounting Supervisor plays a key role in the monthly and annual close processes, preparation of financial statements, and oversight of general ledger functions. The role includes supervising a small team, performing reviews of financial data, and supporting internal controls and compliance. The ideal candidate has a solid accounting background, leadership experience, and a hands-on approach to problem-solving.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review accounts payable vouchers
  • Prepare and review journal entries
  • Perform general ledger account reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly financial statements
  • Ensure internal accounting controls and procedures are followed
  • Work with operations, vendors, and customers to resolve accounting-related issues
  • Oversee accounts receivable and/or accounts payable functions, as assigned
  • Prepare and review sales tax reports
  • Participate in monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparation of 1099s
  • Assist with fixed asset tracking and accounting
  • Supervise and review work of direct reports
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and performance reviews to direct reports
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Chief Accountant
Supervisory Duties and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for direct supervision of accounting staff
  • Assign tasks, monitor work, and assess training needs
  • Conduct regular performance reviews
  • Support professional development and cross-training efforts


Qualifications
Required Education, Experience and/or Abilities
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capable of reading and interpreting financial documents and correspondence
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to identify training opportunities and provide mentorship
  • Strong general ledger knowledge and analytical problem-solving skills
Preferred Education, Experience and/or Abilities
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry
  • Familiarity with Oracle or Excalibur accounting systems


Computer Skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to use 10-key by touch and general office equipment (copiers, fax, scanners)
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to in-house software systems


Additional Eligibility Qualifications
  • Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug/alcohol screening


Travel
  • Minimal travel required (generally less than 10%)


Physical Demands
  • Regularly required to sit, talk, and hear
  • Frequently required to stand, walk, and use stairs
  • May occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds


Pay Details: $65,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year
