Job Summary

This position is responsible for assisting with general ledger accounts, entering financial data, financial reports, and audits.

Summary of Essential Job Functions

  • Records numerical and financial data to produce financial records
  • Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately
  • Assists generating accounting and audit reports for cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, and profits and losses.
  • Assisting treasury transactions of the company
  • Assists in maintaining the general ledger accounts by reconciling, adjusting, and analyzing daily transactions
  • Provides support for and participates in the month-end, quarterly and yearly closing process
  • Provides support for annual management planning, including expenses and budgets
  • Assists with the financial internal control process
  • Assists with the company treasury functions, such as daily cash operation and preparation
  • Provides support for and participates in external financial audits
  • Responsible for assisting vendor/customer master information
  • Assists with contractual information management
  • Generates accounting reports as assigned
  • Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records.
  • Regularly communicates externally or internally with other departments regarding finance/accounting operation
  • Provides support and documentation management during internal audits and KSOX
  • Handle various administrative tasks such as filing, scanning, and responding to vendor and client inquiries
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), IFRS and its analysis
  • Ability to use SAP software to record, store, and analyze financial data
  • Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, with high proficiency in Microsoft excel
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Data entry skills
  • Multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Bilingual in Korean and English languages is preferred
Physical Demands & Work Environment
  • Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, unless business needs require additional hours worked. This position will require working extended hours during monthly, quarterly and yearly closing
  • This position primarily operates in an office environment, which will require prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets and fax machines. Occasional exposure to warehouses and production areas may be expected
  • Travel is not expected for this position
  • This position does not supervise the work of others
  • Ascend/descend stairs occasionally
  • Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at a time occasionally
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or a related field
OR
  • Associates Degree in Accounting or a related field & 2 years of directly related experience
  • SAP software experience, and high proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred
  • Bilingual in Korean and English languages is preferred
