OVERVIEW

The Accounting Manager is responsible for all areas relating to financial reporting. The position is responsible for maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures for maintaining accurate and timely financial statements. This position reports to the Controller.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
  • Maintain the integrity of the general ledger, reviewing account reconciliations and resolving discrepancies. Ensure proper classification of transactions.
  • Complete monthly journal entries and help with the execution of financial closings on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely monthly Work in Progress Schedule and Financial Statements.
  • Oversee Accounts Payable, Job Cost and Check Processing functions.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Communicate with internal stakeholders about changes, corrections, or other issues.
  • Assist in all information requests for all outside audits and other third parties in a timely and responsive manner.
  • Assist CFO & Controller in day-to-day operations.
  • File Personal Property Tax & Sales Tax Returns for all states and jurisdictions.
  • Continuously assess accounting processes and systems, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvement and implementing best practices.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP Systems.
  • Attention to detail and deadline oriented.
  • Experience with Sage Intacct
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written), interpersonal and customer service skills.
