We are seeking an experienced, knowledgeable Accounting Managerto join our Finance Team!

This position is 40 hours per week, based out of our Lewiston Office.

Starting Pay Range: $24.75-$29.50/hour depending on experience

Essential Duties:

  • Perform the usual duties of a manager by leading, motivating, and supporting the team.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely program financial reports, reviewing and analyzing financial information, advising of any irregularities, and preparing necessary monthly journal entries.
  • Oversee and engage with all account receivable operations, including online banking, preparing cash logs, depositing monies, and updating check registers with all accounts receivable activities.
  • Maintain the agency's fixed assets and process monthly depreciation to programs.
  • Maintain effective operation of fund accounting software and provide support to departments and program staff as needed.
  • Partner with the Director to ensure all financial and performance reports are filed with the appropriate funding source in a timely manner, working directly with auditors, internal and external.

Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • Minimum of five to seven years of commensurate experience may be substituted for college training.
  • Experience in non-profit accounting is preferred
  • Knowledge of Accounting Software
