Accounting Specialist

Are you a detail-driven accounting professional with strong reconciliation and Excel skills? Our client, a well-established company located in North Phoenix, is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join their team on-site. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering competitive pay and a collaborative work environment. Pay is up to $30/hr.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform daily reconciliations of revenue recorded in the bank against patient and insurance payments
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies between bank deposits and patient account records
  • Assist in preparing reconciliation reports to support month-end close activities
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Reconciliation Lead and Accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial documentation
  • Work cross-functionally to gather missing information and resolve outstanding issues
  • Maintain organized reconciliation workpapers and documentation for audit and compliance purposes
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives and help streamline reconciliation workflows
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree is preferred
  • 2+ years of accounting experience in a professional setting
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
  • Proven experience with reconciliations
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay Details: $26.00 to $30.00 per hour
