This is an individual contributor role focused on closing deals while managing multiple priorities calmly. As the prospective resident’s first impression of the Fairfield brand, Leasing Associates take pride in professionalism and communicating passionately about our properties. Their communication helps residents choose to join our communities. There is room for growth on the Fairfield Property Management Team. This role reports to the Community Manager and successful associates may be promoted to Assistant Community Manager. What you can expect to do in this role
CUSTOMER SERVICE & SALES Be the first point of contact with prospective residents, current residents, vendors and Fairfield associates. Drive the lease closing process by highlighting the quality of the community and available amenities to prospective residents. Determine the customer’s needs, resolve and/or escalate as permitted. Use a customer-friendly demeanor and the ability to diffuse/resolve difficult situations while nurturing relationships. Deliver unmatched service to residents to exceed expectations and maintain resident retention. Meet sales goals, leasing ratios and milestones in customer service and resident satisfaction throughout the sales process. OPERATIONS Manage lease files, maintain updated paperwork and computer systems. Use Yardi or related property management software to manage the leasing process. MARKETING Complete marketing/advertising tasks including updating social media sites. Maintain knowledge about local market conditions and assess local competition. WHAT YOU’LL NEED DAY ONE Minimum of one year experience in a customer service, sales or retail position. Experience or knowledge in leasing or real estate is a plus. Strong typing and computer skills with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel. Professional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to close a sale is highly preferred. Knowledge of tax credit, fair housing, and trade practices is a plus. Experience using Yardi or other related property management software is a plus. Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel is required. High school diploma or equivalent is required. Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and some holidays. #LI-MARSHALL Compensation Estimated Rate of Pay : $20.14 - $23.48 This position is non-exempt; the range above reflects hourly rates. The pay range is determined by skills, location and job complexity. Offers may vary based on candidate qualifications. This range reflects base rate only and does not include allowances, perks, commissions or bonuses (if any). Full-time associates may be eligible for benefits upon meeting eligibility requirements, including: Paid time off, holidays, sick days, and volunteer time off (optional) Matched 401(k) Medical, dental & vision insurance Flexible spending account Life insurance * Pay range is a midpoint-based calculation and Fairfield complies with wage and hour laws.
