Days, 4x10 hours (7:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
Call:
2 days per week + every 4th weekend
Guaranteed Hours:
40 hours/week
Qualifications:
1–2+ years dialysis experience required
1+ year recent travel experience required
BLS required
Competency in ALD patient care, medication administration including drips
Experience in dialysis unit and 1:1 ICU dialysis treatments
Cerner experience preferred
Unit Details:
Facility: 352 beds
Dialysis unit: 6 beds
Monthly department volume: 200
Patient ratio: 1:2
Scope of role: Acute Hemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis
Acute dialysis treatments
Role Summary:
The Dialysis RN is accountable for providing safe, high-quality care to dialysis patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. The RN demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in anticipating and planning safe care. Delegates patient care based on staff competencies, supervises assigned personnel, and maintains clinical competencies through continuing education.
