Job Title: Quality Engineer III Job Description

As a Quality Engineer III, you will be responsible for continuously reviewing and improving the identification and application of elements of the corrective action process, including problem identification, failure analysis, root cause analysis, problem correction, recurrent control, and verification of effectiveness. You will participate in developing Quality Strategic Planning (QSP), Cost of Quality, and other measurement activities to provide the organization with stronger tools to analyze quality performance. You will also function as the lead quality engineering representative for specific customer accounts, manage data collection plans, and support ISO 9001, AS9100, and regulatory activities.

Responsibilities

Review and improve the corrective action process, including problem identification, failure analysis, and root cause analysis.

Participate in Quality Strategic Planning (QSP) and Cost of Quality measurement activities.

Lead quality engineering efforts for specific customer accounts by handling customer inquiries and complaints.

Manage data collection plans, including check sheets, data coding techniques, and automated data collection.

Participate in ISO 9001, AS9100, and regulatory activities.

Support manufacturing operations through quality trending, data analysis, and containment initiatives.

Contribute to continuous improvement activities such as kaizen.

Maintain a clean, organized work environment and adhere to all safety standards.

Essential Skills

Metrology experience, specifically with CMMs and/or laser scanners.

Experience in programming (Calypso preferred, PC-DMIS works), setup, operation, and troubleshooting of inspection results.

Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.

Skills in quality engineering, root cause analysis, AS9100, PPAP, and Six Sigma Green Belt.

Experience in audit, supplier quality, PFMEA, and machining.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Certified Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field with three (3+) years of relevant quality and manufacturing experience.

Alternatively, a high school diploma with eight (8+) years of relevant quality and manufacturing experience, including four (4+) years in quality engineering.

Work Environment

You will work in a collaborative environment with opportunities for growth within the organization. The position requires adherence to factory safety procedures and guidelines. Appropriate education and/or experience may be substituted on an equivalent basis.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Kent, Washington.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $53.00/hr.
